All in the family - blood relatives who have played in The Show

When I thought of this, I made a list of all the blood relatives I could think of, from every team. I tried to do it without looking any of them up, unless it was to verify if someone ever played in a major league game. To qualify, you only need to have played in one.

Then I realized that if I put up the whole list it would be kind of hogging the thread. So instead I'll just give my list that includes at least one Red Sox player.

Fathers and sons, and brothers, obviously. We also have to include grandfathers and sons, for the sake of a certain Red Sox Hall of Famer. Cousins? I think there have been a few, but I couldn't think of them. Anyway, sure, why not.

Dom DiMaggio - Joe DiMaggio (HOF)
Ken Brett - George Brett (HOF)
Carl Yastrzemski (HOF) - Mike Yastrzemski
Tony Conigliaro - Billy Conigliaro - played on team at same time
    Dante Bichette - Bo Bichette
Pedro Martinez (HOF) - Ramon Martinez - played on team at same time
    Jeremy Giambi - Jason Giambi
JD Drew - Stephen Drew - both played on Red Sox
    Daniel Bard - Luke Bard

One I had to look up was Papelbon. I wasn't sure if Josh ever pitched in the majors. I found out he didn't. I also found out there was another brother, Jeremy who pitched in the minors.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Joe and Dom DiMaggio had another brother named Vince who was also an MLB center fielder, mostly for the Pirates. Not as well known as his siblings, Vince was the oldest of the three. The description of his playing as opposed to his brothers wasoften summed “Joe is the best hitter. Dom is the best fielder. Vince is the best singer.”

Spike Owen’s brother was Dave Owen.

Tony Armas’ brother was Marcos Armas (that one I looked up). More importance to us was his son Tony Armas Jr, former Red Sox farmhand famously traded to the Expos for a certain RHP who I think was pretty good...

The weirdest one to me was former Astros 1b Glenn and former Orioles RHSP Storm Davis. They’re not related, but a teenage Glenn Davis ran away from home and moved in with Storm Davis’ family. Storm’s parents formally adopted him..

The Alou brothers (Felipe, Matty and Jesus) all played for the Giants in 1963. After Jesus came up late that season, the three of them played together in the outfield at the same time a few times, although they never started a game together.

Felipe’s son Moises also played in the majors.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

Moe, Shemp and Jerome "Curly" Howard; Larry was not a brother, but a Fine fiddler.

Moises was the fielder on the infamous Bartman play.

I am surly I mention of the obvious ones - Barry and Bobby Bonds. Or Cecil and Prince Fielder

Father-son trivia: Many people remember when Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Sr. made history when they became the first father-son pair to be teammates when both played for the Mariners in 1990. What father-son pair has accomplished this since?
