And he broke in game 1. He looked timid. That’s a bad thing for a veteran

Give me a break. It's the first game in the season.

    Eovaldi looked good.
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
    In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
    In our yellow submarine

When the big acquisition in a reset year is Kike Hernandez, you are not serious about winning.

I see Richards as bigger, but he only has an option for year 2, but yeah, surprise-surprise, it's a re-build year.

    3. The high throw did not allow Dalbec to full stretch forward to get the out, anyway.

Then, a Kike error and a Fenway double.

    YUCK- a Doodle-Doo!
Bogie had to sit back, as he obviously thought Devers was playing that. Dever did not, which locked up Bogie. Bogie was majorly hamstrung by Devers late stop, which caused the slight bobble & off balance throw.

    Brutal.

    Kiki was worse.

On the bright side, the O’s will be starting the Dark Knight Matt Harvey in game 2. He has been in darkness for around 5 years already. He is still managing to get paid well for being an occasional punching bag.

John Means Business was the story of this one.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

We've known for a couple years now that he's a great young pitcher. I don't know why this is causing so many people here to insist that the sky is falling. That's the other downside to Opening Day: you usually have to go up against an ace.

If the bats come alive and we win handily today, the mood here will change in a heartbeat

If we lose today, posters will be calling for a fire sale and management heads to roll.
