Seriously though, we should give Matt Harvey a nice thumping today. Weather will be a bit more like spring today. Right around 50, and then gradually getting warmer for every game remaining in this homestand. Hopefully that warms the bats up.

I have Betts, Benintendi, and Pedroia shirts, so you can imagine my frustration in the last 15 months or so...

I might finally have to get a Bogaerts or Devers shirt

Ugh so brutal. At least Pedroia is still known as a great Sox player, I may get a Boegarts as well

    Just go with retired players.

Let’s see if this alignment plays better D.

For years, I refused, because I was too young to remember watching any retired players. But, now I guess I will keep Pedroia and maybe tack on an Ortiz. Not your worst idea

Even our best defensive line-up is sub par.

Let's hope we can "get away with it."

I guess I am failing to see exactly where the strength of this team is.
"Fans have become more entitled than anything. So they're starting to question our motives for the game, or how we approach the game. The ones that do question -- like who are you? Just shut up and watch the game tonight." --Kevin Durant on players' lack of effort in regular season games.

That's probably not uncommon for teams projected to win 78-86 games.

We are a top 10 offensive team, and I mean batting not being offensive to the eyes.

If our pitching is healthy, we are top 15, but being #14 is not really a strength.

I hear you, and I don't disagree, but we made some moves that improved the team and set us up financially to improve even more, next year. We draft high, this year, so that can help our longer term outlook.

I think the best we can hope for is that no two teams run away with the wildcard race, and we can stay in the WC hunt late into the season.

In terms of the longer view, it might do better, if we trade away our 1 year players, this summer. The moves we made, last summer, are one reason our farm jumped up in the rankings. Even the Beni, Ottavino and Rays deals boosted the farm, this winter.

I'm trying to stay optimistic as much and as long as possible. I was one of the first to jump ship, last year, and that's not usual for me.

    Hang in there, jad.
