    Yanks to acquire Rougned Odor

Why? Guy can’t hit anymore. Weird
    Hal sucks

So the reasoning is to add some left handed power to the bench. Wade as the primary infielder is a true minus as an offensive player. Once Voit comes back, the entire infield (catcher included), the corner OFers and DH are all right handed. Odor has never lacked for power, but his K rates and BB rates have all gone in the wrong direction. Maybe Cash thinks he can be more useful as a super sub with the RF short porch? Yanks are supposedly sending a couple prospects and picking up very little cash.

This deal has a particular odor to it. My nose can't seem to place it

He was DFA'd for a reason. The Yanks gave away two actual prospects (Stowers and Cabello) for him so they must like him a lot more than we do. He's only 27 so maybe they think he can be the next revival project like Hicks/Gio?

Antonio Cabello and Josh Stowers headed to Texas.

Cabello used to be a good prospect. Not sure if he still is.

No announcement on the cash, but MLBTR thinks Texas is paying a significant portion of it, presumably more than half...

That’s a wicked overpay for Odor. Cabello is so young and had a great start before injuries sidelined him. Stowers was a supp 1st rounder. That’s garbage. Should have waited for him to be released.

Texas is paying the full freight.

Basically they bought two Yankee prospects, much like how the Red Sox did with German...

The Yanks already beginning to weaken their farm, even if just by a small increment.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

But by dealing those two prospects, they saved $570,000. (Possible sarcasm?)

To be fair here, none of Urshela, Tauchman and Voit could hit before they came to the Yankees either...

    Yeah, maybe. We shall see
