7/10, Phils @ Sox, 4:00PM Eastern game time

Obviously for anybody looking at the time stamp for this post, the hours I keep may not conform to the start of this game. Hence I figured I better get the game thread up now.

I'll be running somewhere around Fenway right when this game is starting. Beautiful day here in Boston. Sun is trying to break out. Not overly warm or humid.

After last night's appearance Andriese was limping back to the dugout. The SOX have put him on the 10 day IL. According to a SOX source, when the 10 day IL expires, Andriese will be demoted to Worcester. Brice was called up this morning to replace Andriese.

Nothing much good to say about the 2020 poor excuse for a baseball season concerning the SOX, except that they will have the #4 pick in the upcoming draft.

Pivetta is skipping his scheduled start today. Perez will be on the mound instead.

Andriese is out of options. He’d have to clear waivers first.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

Clearing waivers I would think shouldn't be a problem.
Btw, Moon, you know more about this draft than I ever will. I hear the name Jack Leiter, Al's son, being mentioned a lot as the SOX 4th pick if he's still on the board. What do you think?

Pivetta just getting an extra day of rest. He'll go tomorrow. My guess is they want to start with Nate out of the All Star break

If Leiter is off the board, then the next best pitching prospect is Kumar Rocker, who, like Leiter, pitched for Vanderbilt.

    Thanks. That makes sense.

This forum wasn't the only thing broke today. Hopefully, the SOX can be repaired by tomorrow.

Brice appears to be the perfect replacement for Andriese. Is Marwin warming up?

He does indeed. Different style, but the same dedication to giving the hitters what they need.

But we have to face the fact that Taylor and Workman served up the most meatballs today.

Perhaps the SOX shouldn't draft a pitcher. Their farm system will only ruin him.
