Thread: 9/04 Indians @ SOX 4:10PM

    9/04 Indians @ SOX 4:10PM

    E.Morgan 2-6 5.98ERA vs T.Houck 0-3 3.63ERA

Getting five from Tanner and keeping Cleveland's runs low
would give the SOX a great chance of winning four in a row.

    Go SOX!

About time Houck notched a win. He deserves one.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Need both 5 or more good innings from Houck and a bunch of runs today. The bullpen is tired from the 4 Rays games + last night.

We really need 6+ IP or someone in the pen, not doing well, recently, to show up.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

Richards pitched 3 innings Thursday night, so I'm hoping he can give the SOX at least one inning today. I agree this would be another good day for the SOX to put up some crooked numbers.

Tyler, you've got to either mount a TV in your bathroom or become a vegan.

The Sox have the momentum now. And momentum is a real thing. Have to feel good about their chances today.

    Jalapeños are vegan.

    Just sayin
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

The Schwarber- Devers one-two slot punch has to be one of the Sox best ever, right?

I know Boggs, alone, at lead off was pretty hard to beat, but didn't we usually bat slap hitters in the two slot behind him?

When we start getting some guys back, it may even add to the feeling of "YES, We CAN!"

If Bogey's wrist was able to improve by this "rest," maybe in the long run, we might end up better off.

I'm still waiting for the day we can use our best line-ups:

    1. Schwarber LF
    2. Devers 3B
    3. JD DH
    4. Bogey SS
    5. Renfroe RF
    6. Kike 2B
    7. Verdugo CF
    8. Dalbec 1B
    9. Vaz/Plawecki C

    or

    1. Kike 2B
    2. Schwarber LF
    3. Devers 3B
    4. Bogey SS
    5. JD DH
    6. Renfroe RF
    7. Verdugo CF
    8. Dalbec 1B
    9. Vaz/Plawecki C

    or

    The better fielding team...

    1. Kike CF
    2. Schwarber 1B
    3. Devers 3B
    4. Bogey SS
    5. JD DH
    6. Renfroe RF
    7. Verdugo LF
    8. Arroyo 2B
    9. Vaz/Plawecki C

The Sox have to make bringing back Schwarber a priority for next season. He is turning into a great trade deadline pick up.

BAL up 3-0 over NYY in the 7th. (BAL left the bases loaded with 1 out in the seventh after scoring 2.)

The Yanks have yet to reach 1B via a batter ball, if you know what I mean.

TOR up on OAK 2-0 in the 3rd.

    MIN @ TBR begins, soon.

And naturally, Baltimore commits a horrible error to lead off the Yankee 7th.
