RHP Collin McHugh vs LHP Eduardo Rodriguez

Please do not let this go back to Tampa. Finish them tonight.

I think it's kind of funny that with all the talk of the Sox only having one legit SP'er going into the playoffs (not untrue), and how great the Rays staff is, we are facing a guy named TBD, tonight.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

The pitching situation for both clubs is very interesting.. game four has the potential of being a wild game.. like game three wasn’t right? That Hunter Renfroe play in right field will be remembered just like Vazquez’s walk off homer. Let’s end this series today and see what happens between H-Town & Chicago. Chicago came back in a big way last night.

    GO SoX!

TBD is only effective if Who is at first.

Don’t be surprised though to see Shane McClanahan take over at some point. Our offense is gonna have to find a way to get runs .

I found one! (A current MLB pitcher with the initials TBD.)

Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

I have a good feeling about tonight. I think the Red Sox touch up Rays pitching. Just a hunch.

Actually, McHugh is one of the best pitchers on the Rays. Just check his stats.

Thanks for the "not untrue." And yes, it is funny because Cora is playing Cash's game, only better--so far.

McHugh tonight is a classic non-starter, a reliever whose job is to mislead the opposing team and manager. He replaced starter Baz Friday night and the Sox hammered him for 2 dingers and 3 runs.

ERod, despite my continual whining, is a real starter with beaucoup innings this year and a pretty good August and September. He did, however, choke big-time 4 days ago in game 1, lasting just 1.2 innings, throwing 41 pitches, and giving up 2 walks, a double, a single and 2 runs before Richards got that 1 out followed by Pivetta's 4.2 innings. Jacksonianmarch says the Rays will kill any lefty starter, and they sure did that in games 1 and 2 of this ALDS, but his ERA, 4.71, vs the Rays is better than his seasonal ERA (over 5). So I think the Sox have the edge on starters for however long they last.

Both staffs pitched 13 (actually, 12.1 for the Rays) hard fought innings last night, but Cora only overused one guy, Pivetta. He pretty much has the rest of the bullpen if the game looks winnable. I think he will hold Houck out unless he has a real shot at this game. But Whitlock could 3 innings, Brasier 1 or 2, even Robles.

All that said, I agree with Schwarber's comment last night. This Series is far from over. Plenty of hard work remains to be done.

I kind of like him too because two nights ago the Sox nailed him for 2 dingers and 3 runs.
