    1. Puffery?
    2. They are essentially saying he is a fringe major leaguer.

I thought you'd like puffery. I was in the Arts program with an English Lit major before I turned to accounting.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

These rankings are all over the place.
Exactly. McDaniel used to track prospects for the Yanks and has way more inside info vs other sites.

    Not much puffery, here.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

Ouch... imagine being described as having the potential to be below-average: teacher who ignores facts, changes test scores, only calls on pets; favorite of bored members, future mediocreintendent.

This guy was rated above the "puffered" Frank German,

I loved Frank German as a Yankee prospect. Thing is, people keep trying him as a starter. He’s proven he’s not a starter. Give him a chance as a reliever. His FB Change combo can be deadly in short burst a la Tommy Kahnle

    #49 Jeisson Rosario: https://soxprospects.com/players/ros...abgvoHu_0CcS-E

I had higher hopes for him at the time of the trade.

Hey my assessment of Howlett was always “career minor leaguer”…

Ceiling of an MLB bench bat sounds about right. Dude has natural power, but not much else.

Probably. And he probably never reaches that ceiling. How many players currently in the Sox farm system will even get a full year of service time?

It's not like it's a cathedral ceiling, either... more like one in the tunnel of a mine shaft

Higher than I would have guessed. Some will have the talent but just never stay healthy enough to accrue a full year.

    I was thinking 12-15 tops…

The churn and burn on relief arms is high enough that I think guys like Chris Murphy will get service time no matter what. Maybe not a full year in one season, but could get there over multiple seasons.

May number may be a little inflated...
