    58-46 TOR +3
    57-49 SEA +1
    55-49 TBR +0

    54-50 CLE -1.0
    54-51 BAL -1.5
    53-51 CWS -2.0
    53-53 BOS -3.0

We have an easier stretch coming up and are coming off a 3-1 stretch vs tough teams.

    We might just squeak in!
The next 16 games, starting today through August 21, should settle the Sox fate for 2022. 4 w/KCR; 2 w/ATL , a singleton with the Orioles, followed by 3 w/ NYY at Fenway, a day off, 3 w/Pirates and last 3 with fearsome Orioles on the road. Anything less than an 11-5 run and you can begin the hot stove league early . 8-8 and they are the .500 team we have seen.

So any problems getting those wins---- The team is still short of starting pitchers , and now Bello tweaked his groin . If Pivetta, Eovaldi, Winckowski , Hill and Crawford get us in position for an 11-5 run, hooray. Sale and Paxton won't. Wacha will need most of that time to get back in pitching shape for a 5 inning effort.

The hitters also need to come through with JDM, Devers and Bogaerts hitting well. Pham, Duran and now Hosmer along with McGuire must do better than the insufferable JBJr, Sanchez, Plawecki, Dalbec, Cordero weak lineups achieved.

11-4? I don't want to be called pessimist but I don't see that happening, but again, this is baseball and these are the Sox. Quoting Forrest Gump "My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”

Gump’s mom never saw the 2022 Red Sox Bullpen.

She saw the 2020 pen though: "you never know which pig you're gonna get."

I thought one of the biggest bitches is that the Sox only do well vs weak teams.

    Has something changed?
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

The Red Sox went 6-1 against the team with the fourth-best record in the American League.
