Hitting sucked, and the 5 runs were a freaking gift. Pivetta was terrific. Davis stunk and deserved the 3 runs that scored on the double given up by Schreiber.

With Houck trying to find a doctor who can fix him, using Barnes to close the 9th was a good move.

The Pirates organization has mastered a sustainable plan for losing. Who is in charge of that mess?

It's easy to pick out the worst of every game.

It wasn't a good night for Davis, but the team picked him up, except for that 2B.

I get the feeling had Barnes blown the game, you wouldn't have called it a "good move," right?

Let’s not leave Raffy’s bat out either that has really slowed down.

Gone in the crapper just like the Yankees who have only scored 8 runs in the last 7 games. You

Coming to a town or city near us.
"Fans have become more entitled than anything. So they're starting to question our motives for the game, or how we approach the game. The ones that do question -- like who are you? Just shut up and watch the game tonight." --Kevin Durant on players' lack of effort in regular season games.

5 hits sucks, 4 walks is okay and 5 runs is fine.

Sure, we got lucky a couple times, but we've had our share of bad luck.

We got the win. I just don't get the need to pick apart every bad moment or thing about every game.

Thank God, Barnes saved the 9th, or there would be 30 pages of what a huge mistake it was to bring him in, and how Cora is an idiot.

If Whitlock had been available, and Barnes had been brought in , and blown the game I don’t see how that wouldn’t be viewed as a BAD managerial decision. I wouldn’t go so far as to call him an idiot though.

Yes, if Whitlock was available is the key there.

Did anyone say if Whitlock was available last night? He pitched 2 innings Friday, and 1 inning Sun, so I figured Cora wanted to rest him.
