K. Bubic vs N. Pivetta
Pham
Devers
Bogey

Arroyo(1B)

Bubic has an ERA way north of 5, but I still expect this dead line-up to struggle.
Just from habit

I find NFL football so boring I'll be listening to music and watching this meaningless game.
O'Brien says walks are an issue for Pivetta today. Maybe the hits behind the walks also factor in.
Pham not paying attention. Men on 2nd/3rd , one out and he hits a long sac fly to score a run , tying the game. Not the Sox way in '22.
Back to back sacs!
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1
The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.
Refsnyder in a similar situation also doesn't pay attention to the "Way" and scores Bogaerts with a flyball. But the astounding play is that JDM took third on the flyball, then on Arroyo's fly, JDM scores with a well timed dash to the plate.
Now can the team keep the 4-2 lead and win the series ?
Sox are swinging the bats timely and well today. Good way to either end a week or start a new one . Pivetta needs to work a bit better to get 5 innings and a his win , but eventually this will be another test of the BP.
I would certainly run Franklin German back in today to see if he can settle down a bit and get himself a positive result.
Pivettabout the exit velocity.
It wouldn't be a Nick Pivetta start without a HR being given up. Sal Perez continues his quick bat launches. For a big boy catcher, he can move the lumber
One thing about Pivetta this year , as opposed to Sale, Wacha, Eovaldi, is that he has made 30 starts and over 165 innings. His 9-11 record on a team that isn't going to win 80 games is acceptable for a #4 or #5 starter. He will require that you have a decent BP behind him.
If intensity was the main factor in producing a great pitcher, then Pivetta would win the Cy Young every year. I like the fact that Nick is there when it's his turn to pitch and that he always gives 100%.
Who knows? Maybe his best years are ahead of him. Stay tuned.

This is post #12...it says everything we need to know about what the fans think of Red Sox these days.....
7-3 lead and Ort walks two guys......get rid of pitchers that can't throw strikes.
Ok...2 K's. Much better...

Not over till the fat lady sings.
Nice to see Raffy Devers pick up some 2 out rbi's to cushion the pen. Ort has some troubles but K's his way out of same.
