I doubt JH would ever have signed both Devers & Bogey, so IMO, we should be happy we signed the right one.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

    This we agree on.

The left one -- I'm celebrating with a stout from Left Hand Brewing Co... (Yankee fans dreaming of Raffy aiming for that short porch at the Stadium the next 11 years can now have nightmares of Raffy aiming for it)

There is one report the deal is $331/10 and not $332M/11.

Passan is still reporting 11/$332 and he’s usually right

    MLBTR is reporting $331/11.

    Either way, it’s a lot…

I like this, and I'm pleasantly surprised. It was looking like JH & Co. weren't going to be giving out long term big $$ contracts as a matter of principle.
However, the devil may be in the details. Does he have any opt-outs? Are we going to be living this again in a few years?
It's a mere moment in a man's life between the All-Star game and the Old Timer's game.

I happy Raffy got the big money and will be with us for 11 years (don’t forget the no trade clause), just don’t forget the Sox are still the same team they were yesterday

Opt outs can be a good thing if timed right. Imagine if Price had managed to not get hurt and chose to exercise his year 3 opt out…

    Awesome.

We're on the way back now.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Disagree on principle. Pro ballplayers -- no matter what uniform they're currently wearing -- may be looking at Boston as a desired destination again. The Red Sox want to be players again, and players will want to be Red Sox again.

And even if all that is bs from a fan, at least humor the fan... we all want to at least feel our team cares about us as much as we care about it.

No, they're different, because they're confirming that they're still all in.

We've got the youth movement coming, but it's great to have a star to build around.

It seems to be 331M/11 but it includes this years 17.5m.

My point was the personal on the team hadn’t changed, it wasn’t a signing that added to the talent already on the team
