    Story has surgery

Internal bracing of UCL. Timeline for position players usually 6+ months. So you won’t see him til the ASB most likely

I never understand why they don't do this in October, or if known before, the day after we were eliminated from playoff contention.

The answer always seems to be "they were hoping rest would take care of it".
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Ohtani will not get a guaranteed $500 million.

A big question should be was what were his medicals when they signed him? I think Bloom needs to answer that.

No he doesn’t. Your desire to trash a GM doesn’t supercede HIPPA laws…

Surgery should always be a last resort…

Everything is Bloom's fault. The obsessiveness is getting astounding.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, Story is not your starting SS in 2023.

Unbelievable. Let’s just tank and watch Bloom walk away. Get some pics, play the kids, get some pics, come back strong in 2024.

Ok, maybe that’s an option overreaction.

Yes he does. Bloom didn’t have to give a medical report, but only to say if there were questions just like has come out from two different teams on Correa. Wrong to you.

Let’s just put Kike at SS, and Arroyo at 2B, and just play Duran the Butterfly Man in CF. Good to go for raised ticket prices.

The way you guys cover up for his incompetence is what is astounding, you yourself said he came with a bad arm and couldn’t play shortstop

No, he doesn’t have to. Story played last season on that elbow. The medicals might not be relevant anymore…

Some posters are obsessed with defending a CBO who told us less than a month ago that Story playing shortstop is "on the table." He just didn't specify lying on the surgeon's table.

Remember, Bloom insisted that Story's range is so good he can compensate for having no arm, by throwing on the run. So why would Trevor have to miss any time?

There's just no excuse for the front office on this, with Spring Training a month away. They need to better monitor the condition of all their players and have a better rapport with all their agents... so they can plan for contingencies, like losing one of their key, highest-paid players for a big part of the season. Again.

Get the facts straight. I was the one who did not know about his arm issues and questioned why he wasn't going to play SS, instead of Bogey.

Why wasn’t this determination made in October? This is incompetence.
