No, Teel will be in that range, Zantello will likely be in the back end of the top 20.

Teel to me could be as high as #4. Excellent college resume (performance and level of competition) combined with a high likelihood of staying behind the plate. In terms of "likelhood of being a solid major leaguer" he leaps to near the very top of the Sox prospect pile. Really comes down to how you feel about the probability without QUITE as sexy a ceiling as other players.

I was going by what MVP said about the SP podcast on Teel.

They said Teel would be 6th ahead of Drohan most likely. I'm assuming that Nazzan would be 18th ahead of Paulino, but have no idea.

Rounds 3 - 10 will be a cluster of slot to below slot guys we've never heard of. My guess is that there will be a few driveline college pitchers in there.

Which makes sense, since a lot of those are high-floor guys, and you're more likely to hit on mid-rotation arms there.
    WAR is good for something.

I sure wish we had stayed under the tax line and gotten better picks.

I guess - but the Red Sox got two Top 40 talents out of lower positions. All drafts are crapshoot to a certain degree and MLB is more than that.

Day one is the fun day. Day two can be a little frustrating if you pay too much attention to who is left on the board.

It would have been better picks plus additional money to spend in the draft.

The Sox have seemed to have gotten some decent results from the "senior sign" pitchers. Expectations are limited - but more than org players. Put another way - Chris Murphy being any sort of big leaguer at all is a big win for that sort of player.

Constantly drafting for floor instead of ceiling. Seems to be Bloom's MO with regards to pitching.

Less likely to bust, but also less likely to excel.

Not less likely to bust since they can all equally get injured.
