Pivetta vs Glasnow
Pivetta hasn't been a mystery to the Rays based on BA's against him so far this season. Hopefully, that will change tonight.
Go SOX!

It's getting to the point, if we haven't already reached it, where any loss can be viewed as the final nail.
Sox 4 Ever
23 games to play, it is getting late . 5 games back of Toronto , 4.5 back of Texas Rangers. If either of those 2 go .500 for the rest of the way , Red Sox need to be 14-9 minimum . They have been 4-7 over last 11 games .
8 of the 23 are vs Rays & Orioles , including tonight's. 6 other games are the Rangers and Jays. So 14 of 23 are vs. the teams in front of the Sox. It's nice to think it could happen mathematically , just not very high likelihood. They could win them all too.
I'm guessing the magic number elimination occurs September 20th, after the last Rangers game.

Jansen definitely won't be available tonight and the way Cora has used Martin, who has pitched in 2 straight games, he also may not be available tonight. Best case scenario is Pivetta goes 6. Worst case, anything less than 6.
Another best case would be Glasnow having an off night.
Having a clown for a HP chUMPIRE last night shouldn't have been surprising. The game is being played in a circus tent. I'm pretty sure there will be another clown calling balls and strikes tonight.
The Yankems have crawled back to .500, so the only real question remaining in this SOX season is which team, the SOX or Yankems, finish in last.
Hope the guy doing the high wire act wasn't injured on that Devers' high fly ball.
It must be 'dress up as an empty seat' night again at Tropicana Circus.
Glasnow having an 'off' night. He's making the SOX look 'offul.'
Can't help but wonder if Basabe is any relation to Kemo Sabe?
