Casas upset at Duran's antics on the base path while he is batting.... we all know what a stickler Casas is for solid and disciplined base running.

    Dear Mr. Henry,
I appreciate the championships- but I'm watching today's game to see a competitive team. I don't keep going back to restaurants who serve terrible food because two years ago I had a great meal there.

It was long enough to count as two fouls.

It’s amazing how often those shots off Red Sox bats are foul and how often when they’re off opponents bats they stay fair.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

I don't even think it was a balk but I'll take it

Better to be unlucky than bad. SOX are both.

I would have been just as happy with a wild pitch. A base hit would have been a bridge too far.

The only thing lively in this game is the pitcher.

    Maybe Wong s/b batting 2nd.

When a pitcher uses the sideways type windup (the type that looks a lot like a stretch position), he has to declare which one he is throwing out of with men on base. I think Lively failed to do this; that may have been the reason the balk was called.

I wasn't going to put it exactly that way, but I entirely agree he exudes confidence. When Whitlock leaves the mound, he's like Willy Loman after another bad trip.

Wow. Just wow. A gold star by your name today and this week. First time I've ever read about that rule.

They are nine and freaking nine. The problem, very clearly, is they have to play their home games at the Fens. They are 7-3 on the road.

I won’t take credit for it; the radio guys mentioned it.

If you think about it, it makes sense, because that type of wind up really could be deceptive to the baserunners.

Of course it makes sense--but it's also a little on the weird side. Anyway, thanks for the insight, borrowed or otherwise.
