Devers has made a science of hitting bouncers to 1st base.

I'm saying when you are no-hit through 4 , trailing 5-0 at home, you have only 2 chances to win, and neither one is very likely to occur. How do you give up 5 runs after 2 outs ?

It would be the same as giving up 5 runs before getting the 1st out.

Red Sox finally show some life in the bottom 7th and score 2 with 3 hits, including a Rafaela RBI .

But have no fear, Thrower Zach Kelly gives up a 2out HR to settle Brewer's lead at 6-2 , top 8th.

Rafaela continues to be SOX RBI leader. Thank goodness he got extended.

Regrettable, another Fenway Failure. Failed to get a good game out of Pivetta, failed to get a hit until the 7th ( then 3 runs eventually), failed to get a big hit in 9th with two on, Cooper failed to get a fair call from the HPump.

Fortunately, the boys go on the road to Baltimore after Sunday's game where they can prosper by batting first, but not last.

I quickly became a huge fan of the game and Tommy Harper. Shortly after we moved to Maine, Harper was traded to the Sox, and I switched team loyalty to the Red Sox in 1972.

We face a lefty today: Koenig, and we send Pivetta to the hill. The Brewers are a good team, even without Burnes, and we have our work cut out for us.

    One game at a time!

Right on cue the Red Sox followed script. Win some, lose some, win some, lose some, and back to 500 they go.

How many here before the season had Rafaela as the SOX RBI leader after 52 games? I have to admit that I didn't. I would have guessed the big contract guy.

If the SOX can go 82-28 the rest of the way, they will tie their season high 108 wins.
