Breslow doesn't have the time in the ML to be a ML free agent, as of now he is on the Sox's 40 man roster, however i would said that his chances of making the Sox 25 man roster out of Spring training isn't better than 50-50.

Hansack is on the 40 man roster so he will be with the organization next year. He may win a long relief role in spring training but may begin 2007 in Pawtucket.

The Red Sox have signed minor free agent RHP Adam Bernero. Bernero who will be 30 yrs at the end of the month pitched in the Phillies and Royals system in 2006. Bernero pitched most of the 2005 season in Atlanta. Bernero has pitched as a reliever and as a starter.

The Red Sox have released Dominican OF Moises Santa. The release in my opion isn't talent related, Santa has had a few issues the last couple of years and may not had been matured enough.

Interesting guy. His 2005 RA was 6.70 but his FIP was 3.62 and xFIP was 4.18. Must not get along with the other guys on the team that well.

or it is because he flat out sucks and has had a chance to win a spot everywhere he has gone.

Could be that. Considering he's almost a mortal lock to spend the entire year on the farm, it doesn't really matter. He's just stat fodder.

Bernero is what he is a filler, it will have to be an emergency for him to be called to the ML.

The Sox have signed veteran catcher Alberto Concepion, age 35, to a minor league contract with probability of him competing for the backup job.

I was thinking of a different name when typing this late last night, I meant to say Castillo. It happens...
