I'm not gonna call Jacko out just yet. He has every right to be happy Burnett is pitching good. He will be an important role for the Yankees and he can't have another 2010 season. Besides they're losing 5-1 to the Astros. Let's cut him some slack for now.

...And then the Yankees score 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. Unbelievable.

No way Rookie of the Year. I've "known" him too long and will ALWAYS give him grief

Lmao, I'm being nice because it's spring training. The grief enters when the season starts.

Except that Banuelos did look pretty good... well except for that 2-2 pitch to Varitek that went all the way to the backstop...and even that pitch had some good stuff behind it

Truth is that while Jacko might overhype or exaggerate some things, nobody gives him credit when his points are valid. It's pretty much a lost cause for him. You can't fault him for his enthusiasm, and we're definitely all a little guilty of the things that most of you ridicule him for.

But back to the game. Colon looked pretty good again and A-Rod continues his hot spring. Despite the 4-run deficit (AT THE MOMENT ), it's still spring and these are encouraging signs for those players.

Edit: Make that a 3-run deficit

Peter Gammons called ManBan "Johan Santana with a curveball." Regardless, the kid is dynamite and will be a big league starter come 2012
